DAY 8 - 2016 WEIGHT LOSS AND BLOOD GLUCOSE CHALLENGE

Christmas Eve 2015

Today is Day 8.

Weight goal - 152.6 or lower
Actual weight - 150

Blood glucose goal - 89 or lower
Actual blood glucose - 94

Today is a Fast Day.

For me, that means that all I will have today is water, coffee, tea, or broth, all without caloric sweeteners or fat.  Each day, I will weigh in, check my fasting blood glucose, find out if I will feast or fast that day, update my chart and post it here on the big blog. I'm posting it to motivate myself not to give up, and if I think that anyone is looking at this, it will help to keep me accountable.

Yesterday, I had fried eggs in butter and bacon grease topped with some romano cheese, and some canned pumpkin with Stevia, heavy cream and cinnamon for breakfast, Bullet Proof Coffee with chocolate powder, some pork rinds with sour cream and salsa for lunch, and the plan was to eat out at Cracker Barrel for dinner while we were on a day trip.  That got changed, however, when we arrived at our destination and found out that the person we were going to see had ordered pizza for us.  That's fine, because I could just eat the toppings, but there must have been sugar in the sauce, because my blood glucose is slightly up this morning.  It's not that bad, but I want to follow my rules, so I am fasting today.  I have a full day of home office work to do, so that will keep my mind off food.

7 DAYS DOWN.  84 DAYS TO GO.  SO FAR, 6 FEAST DAYS AND 2 FAST DAYS.

AVERAGE WEIGHT SO FAR - 151.6     AVERAGE BLOOD GLUCOSE SO FAR - 92

I made a few charts to track my progress.  The orange lines are my goals. The blue lines are my actual results.  The last chart is a little heat map to show at a glance how often I actually have to fast to achieve the results I am after.
